So welcome to my blog. I am a 22 year old single female, about to go backpacking around Australia with my sister (Laura) and my best friend (Katrina) AHHH!!
My name is Claire by the way!
The about me section has had me stuck for a few days now! What do I write? What do people really want to know? You could say I don’t really know who I am or what I have been doing for the past 22 years!
But here goes nothing..
I have lived in the same town in Northamptonshire in the UK my entire life. As a child, I was very active and a definite tomboy. Growing up I went through many sports: Dancing, Swimming, Football and Trampolining. I loved sports and still do, but I am just not that motivated to do anything nowadays! But I WILL get fit and active again.
I have worked in Mcdonalds for the past 4 years, meeting the nicest and funniest people who I have had the best times with.
I love helping my Nanna with charity work, raising money for Lakelands – our local hospice.
Growing up I have had such a good family unit. This has both helped me and hindered my anxiety, all of it my fault of course. Never wanting to disappoint people is a big part of climbing out this sinkhole that I’ve fallen in… Stupid brain!
I want this blog to take you on your own journey. Whether it’s with me through writing, pictures and stories, or it’s inspiring you guys to make your own adventures. Either or, I would love to hear all about them!
I am someone who suffers from anxiety and doesn’t react well to change… So what am I doing moving half way across the world I hear you ask?
I AM LIVING!!
I’m tired of letting this illness determine what I do with my life…. It’s my turn to have fun, It’s my turn to be in control! I’m not saying this journey is going to be easy, but I have never been happier knowing that in just a few short months I will be jetting off to start my new life, and I cant wait to bring you with me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my first post and I hope you follow me on this adventure, please feel free to leave a comment down below.
